Our
animals are not given any artificial growth aids and
treated with medication only as needed.
Everything is processed at a USDA and Humane facility,
with Dn'D Farms label.
You can order individual cuts or whole and half animals
with pickup at farm or arrange delivery. We are deeply
committed to providing the finest quality meat at
prices that any family can afford. We work hard to
produce the highest quality product - one that we
are proud of. We get a great deal of satisfaction
from knowing that our animals are living their lives
on lush grasses and high quality feeds, moving freely
and soaking up the sunshine. These animals are processed
by a local packer and are marketed directly to area
stores, and families.
We like to think of the folks who enjoy our meat not
as “customers” or “consumers,”
but as family, friends, and neighbors. |

We
get the question all the time
"Are you Organic"?
No, we are not certified organic, nor do we
plan on becoming certified organic. We believe
in raising
animals the way they did a hundred years ago
(before there was such a thing as organic).
We believe in treating our animals humanely,
in allowing them out into the pastures to eat
the grass, under the clean fresh air and to
run and play as they want. None of this is covered
under the organic certification; all that is
required for the certification (besides the
overload of paperwork) is that the animals are
given organic feeds (whether that be grains,
hay, or any thing else they may be fed). We
go as organic as possible on the feeds, but
nothing is certified and not all of it is organic.
Nothing we feed ever has any animal by-products
or antibiotics in it, that we do make sure of.
We buy all of our grains from the local feed
mill using locally grown products. In order
to get the organic grain we would have pay two
to three times as much for the grains, and the
only way to make up for that price is to pass
it down to the customer. It is better to buy
a local non organic product then go to the supermarket
and buy "organic" shipped in from
another state or country. |
